Banks, Currency Exchange and Credit cards
Currency in France is the Euro.
Bank hours are normally 9am-5pm Monday to Friday.
Visa and Mastercard are the credit cards most used in France. American Express is not accepted everywhere.
Invitation letter
Delegates requiring a Letter of Invitation for Visa applications to attend the Symposium should email the AgEng 2010 Organization (info@ageng2010.com). Please note that this will only be provided once personal information will be received (first name, last name, address and Professional organization).
However, this, in no way constitutes an official invitation covering the cost of registration, travel or other expenses.
Passport/visa
A valid passport is required for entry into France. Please check with your local consulate for specific details of visa requirements from your country.
Electricity power supply
Electricity is 220 volt.
Depending on your country, you may need an adapter.
Smoking
Smoking is banned in all public buildings in France including restaurants and bars.
Taxes
Hotel room tax with state tax is 19.6% for France and food and beverage inside a Hotel is taxed at 5.5%. The majority of purchases are subject to State tax of 19.6%.
Liability
The Organizing Committees and/or Conference/Symposium Organizers shall not be held liable for personal accidents or losses or damage to private property of registered delegates of the Conference or Symposium. Delegates should make their own arrangements in respect of personal insurance.
